The Aviation Explorer Post 8 is the longest running Aviation Explorer Post in the country that both owns two aircraft and actively participates in flight training opportunities. Our mission is to provide young adults, ages 14-18, to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, leadership, and life skills so they are better prepared to make ethical choices and achieve their full potential. Many of our students have moved on to professional piloting careers in both civilian and military capacities.

Our annual fundraising banquet and silent auction event is scheduled for September 30th, 2017 at the Ramada Convention Center in Topeka.

I would also direct you to our new website for the Explorer Post at www.post8.org
