Eyeglass Collection and Sorting Party
Members are assigned to pick up used eyeglasses at drop-off locations throughout the city. Twice a year we host a sorting party to sort the glasses and prepare them for shipment to be used in third world countries.
Drop off used eyeglasses the Red Carpet Room at the Topeka/Shawnee Public Library.
This volunteer fields inquiries about our sight services program to provide eyeglasses to those in need. Contact Us for more information or if you would like to volunteer to help.

Certified 5K and 10K Course
Packet Pickup at Garry Gribbles in Topeka, 4 - 7 pm the night before.
7 am Late Registration and Packet Pick up at the Event Site.

Peace Poster Contest
Working with the Boys and Girls Club we offer a free kit to enter this global poster design competition. Prizes and recognition go the student at the local, district, state, national and global level. Top Prize for the overall winner if $5,000
Local Judging is in the late fall.
Lions Band Camp
Lions provide an opportunity for local band students to attend Lions Band Camp annually with a performance at the State Convention.
Annual Student Recognition Luncheon
Each year in April the Topeka Lions recognize two outstanding students from the seven area high schools with a reception and luncheon. We learn about the schools and the student's future plans after high school.
WU Athletic Scholarship
Lions sponsor a scholarship to a deserving athlete annually at Washburn University.
Membership meetings held at Madison Street Diner - Inside the Ramada downtown.
2nd and 4th Monday of the month
from Noon - 1 pm
Come at 11:30 am if ordering from the menu. Guests are welcome at regular program meetings and service projects.
Meetings feature a program or speaker to highlight what is happening in the Topeka community. This might include historical reflections, or current issues that relate to services, concerns, or other hot topics an informed citizen would be interested to know.
